06.07 Beyond Belief

Mr Hirst has yet again caused a major stir in the art world, and I went along see what all the fuss was about. The exhibition takes place at both White Cube Hoxton Square and White Cube Mason’s Yard, with the much-hyped diamond-encrusted skull For the Love of God on show at the latter. Among the obligatory shock-tastic exhibits were some surprisingly tender images of the birth of Cyrus - the artist’s son. The photo-realist paintings have been produced from Polaroids taken during the Caesarean birth. See Beyond Belief at White Cube 3 June – 7 July.
